EARLY spring : The perfect time for drip conversions

Posted by: IRRIGO on February 13th, 2016

It’s mid February. At the time of this writing, it’s not even Valentine’s Day in fact, but outside it’s sunny and a balmy 13ºC. Pretty incredible to be on Vancouver Island at this time of the “winter”.

Despite irrigation and outdoor water use being the furthest thing from most peoples’ mind right now, the IRRIGO team is moving forward on several projects for drip conversion, because this is hands down the best time of year for it.

At this time of the year, we’re able to approach gardens a little differently than we can any other time. Plants are dormant or just starting to come out of dormancy and full of pep, ready to show off for the coming spring and summer months. We’re able to work in gardens in a way that minimizes damage and we can see everything clearly.

As always with drip conversions, we find that they need a little tweaking in the first year, so we plan for those when we discuss any project, and we know from our experience in this area that is what makes for a successful project all around.

If you’ve wondered about drip irrigation conversions for your garden, now is a great time to discuss what it might involve. We invite you to get in touch at any point to look at your project.
